LGC steps up to a healthier lifestyle
Running enthusiasts and first time runners showed interest to join the Air21 Running Team for the 10.10.10 Run for Pasig River of ABS-CBN. And to assure success in joining the event, our runners must be ready to race on.
With that, the Lina Group of Companies gathered its runners and aspiring runners to a Running Clinic for them to understand more about this sport. Moreover, the Lina Group aims to run for a healthy lifestyle while gearing up to be a strong contingent for the 10.10.10 run. Ultramarathon runner Frederick Gabriel of Airfreight 2100 invited ultramarathon race director Retired General Jovenal “Jovie” Narcise, also known as Bald Runner, for a talk. This event happened on 6 September 2010 at the Multi-Purpose Room at Cargohaus Building.
The talk was entitled Running: Basics & Principles (The Road to an Active & Healthy Lifestyle). Topics include the reasons for running, steps to follow, laws of training, practical tips, phases of training, and running etiquette. Later on, the group went to the Cargohaus grounds to do some warm-up, stretching exercises, and running drills which extended to Nayong Pilipino.
“Running should be a way of life”, says Bald Runner as he imbibes patience, positive attitude, and right motivation to the LGC employees. Sylvia P. Lina, who was also bitten by the running bug, happily enjoyed her birthday while running with the LGC family.
